Growing up, I saw two significant women in my family go through serious illness, which made me very curious about the factors that influence health. At age 21, I started seeing a Naturopath as I wanted to take a preventative approach to my own health. I was so impressed by the level of care I received that I decided to study a degree in Naturopathy so I could help others.
The health of those around me is my biggest motivator in life and intertwines with my belief that better health outcomes can be achieved through a deeper connection to ourselves, each other and to nature. I believe that the food that grows on our planet is the best medicine and by choosing and preparing ethically grown, seasonal and local produce we are not only promoting our own health, but that of our environment too.
My appreciation for nature started young as I grew up spending much time outdoors playing, observing insects and animals, and picking and eating fresh produce. This soon led to an interest in learning how to take care of plants and growing my own food.
My connection to nature has nourished me, physically and mentally, over the years, and has instilled in me a desire to educate others about living in harmony with nature as a means to improve your health and wellbeing. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from nature in such a way and as a Naturopath, I am passionate about helping women with all manner of health concerns, from menstrual or hormonal issues, to fertility and preconception care, to gut and skin health.
